Hello Parents and Students,

With the current Pandemic and the cancellation of classes, an average of five hours per week of at home learning opportunities, as directed by Alberta Education (https://www.alberta.ca/student-learning-during-covid-19.aspx)

-we talked about teeth of carnivores, herbivores and omnivores.
A challenge: other than humans and bears, are there other omnivores?
-we started our Bonhomme story

Today:
-we went to the library today.  PLEASE HAVE THE LIBRARY BOOKS TRAVEL BETWEEN HOME AND SCHOOL AS MANY BOOKS ARE BEING DAMAGED BEYOND REPAIR.  THANK YOU.

-we wrote Kate's story
-we started discussing the different teeth of carnivores and herbivores
-we read a book about Mon chat
-we did the calendar
-we did math centers
- on our journey with Barnabé, we visited Drumheller
-we read an introductory book "What if you had animal teeth?"

I am sending home paperwork for our first field trip.  We will require 5 volunteers who have current police clearance with the CBE to help with this field trip.

Also, as a heads up, we will be going to the Glenbow museum on May 14, which is a healthy hunger lunch day.  It is too complicated to accomodate museum availability as well as healthy hunger days, so my advice to you is to not order healthy hunger lunch that day.  Thank you for your understanding.
