-we did les math sont fantastiques and it was "there were 7 brown groundhogs, and 9 black groundhogs.  How many were there together?
-we did the calendar, and it is day 93
-we continue reading a story about empathy
-tomorrow is special lunch

FOOD ALLERGIES OR SENSITIVITIES TO HOT CHOCOLATE AND CROISSANTS?

On Wednesday, February 12, students will be provided with hot chocolate and croissants as part of our celebration of French Canadian food and culture.  If you DO NOT want your child to eat this snack, please send me an email to let me know prior to Tuesday, Feb 11 and send a special snack for your child to eat on Feb. 12.  (Thank you to VASPFS for funding this treat for the school!)

CHOICE AND CURIOSITY BOARD GAMES ACTIVITY THIS FRIDAY On Friday, we will be having a mixed grade ‘Choice and Curiosity’ board games activity. Students will have the opportunity to play a board game with some new friends from different grades. If your child would like to bring a board game for this activity, they are certainly welcome to! If they do bring one, we want them to know that pieces could get lost or something may get broken. If this will be upsetting, it might be better that they do not bring a game to share. Games that are brought on Friday should be: 

• labelled with their name 

• short, easy to understand, and can be played in under 30 minutes 

• well known by your child so they can teach others how to play independently
